About Wild Rose Fragrance

In 2013 whilst emptying my late grandparents home, I found 51 colour slides in a box that once contained wild rose scented drawer liners. These slides where shot
by Reg and Margaret Gwilliam in 1984 on a trip they made to New Zealand. In 2014/15 I traveled to New Zealand to re-trace their path. I wanted to visit, experience and photograph places they had once been to as a way of reconnecting to my grandparents, it was also an opportunity to document the changes to specific places that have occurred in the last 30 years.

(This is an ongoing project, all photographs shot on colour slide film.)
